abstract = {This paper proposes an objective evaluation metric for motion cueing algorithms in dynamic driving simulators, based on a domain-specific adaptation of ISO/TS 18571. The metric decomposes the discrepancy between reference and simulated motion signals into four independent components: corridor, phase, magnitude, and slope. Each component is translated into a normalized score ranging from 0 to 1, enabling differentiated analysis of signal fidelity. To ensure perceptual relevance, the score mappings are calibrated using results from dedicated driving simulator studies.
