abstract = {The off-line motion cueing optimization algorithm can be considered as an optimization Control Problem (OCP). The OCP can be solved efficiently in off-line mode by the multi-shooting algorithm, even with a full-length signal. In this case, the motion cueing results are the best. Such a motion cueing algorithm has been used by Daimler and BMW to verify the potential of their high performance driving simulators. However, few papers give details of the application of the multi-shooting technique to the motion cueing problem. In this paper, we present some applications of the multi-shooting algorithm to better optimize the reproduced motion cues. The achieved motion cueing results are validated on the Renault’s new driving simulator ROADS.},
